Gift Wrapping @ Toys R' Us

Date: 17-19th December 2010

Time: 11am - 9pm

Venue: Toys R' Us @ 1Utama


What We Do?
We'll be wrapping gifts for free, all for the customers of Toys R' Us.

Objective:
We'll be collecting donations from the customers of Toys R' Us.
Donations collected is to pay for the orphanage.
Donations:-
-Back to school haircut
-Christmas movie watching
-Transportation to theater
- ETC ETC

ALL Just for the Childrens!

There is also Wishlist Project on that day.!

We'll be putting up a WISHLIST made by the orphans of Rumah Sherlom.

The wishlist consist of the things they would like for christmas! Our aim is the public could contribute some to get them the the gifts for them! May they be happy during Christmas...

Peace Poster Contest!

~ VISION OF PEACE ~ 和平的愿景

Date : 14th November 2010 (Sunday)

Time : 1 PM – 6PM

Venue : Ground Floor of Axis Atrium @ Axis Pandan

Jalan Cempaka, Taman Cempaka, 68000 Ampang, Selangor

Objective

A Community service project organized by the Lions Club Ampang City Garden and giving an opportunity for children to express and illustrate their vision on what PEACE means to them.

For children age 11, 12 and 13 years (on 15 November 1997 , 1998 & 1999)

RULES & REGULATIONS

1. Participants must report at the registration counter at 1PM. Please bring along a photocopy of your Identity Card or Birth Certificate for our verification.

2. Organizers shall be providing the Art Block measuring 20” X 24”.

3. Each participant may submit only one entry and each entry must be his or her original work.

4. NO WORDS in any language may be used on the art block.

5. NO photographs may be used.

6. NO three dimensional entry.

7. Nothing may be glued, taped, stapled or attached to the art block in any way.

8. Participants must bring their own pencils, crayon, pens, markers, paints or chalks.

Chalk entry should be sprayed to prevent smearing.

9. All entries become the property of Lions Club Ampang City Garden and will not be returned.

10. By entering this contest, participant agrees to be bounded by these rules & decisions of judges.

11. Prizes: Locally, prizes will be awarded to 3 winners.

JUDGING

1. Poster will be judged based on originality, artistic merit, portrayal and expression of the theme “VISION OF PEACE”.

2. Decision of judges is final and NO protest will be entertained.

3. Once the local winner is chosen, the winning poster may face four more levels of judging:

District and Multiple competition (Malaysia, Singapore & Brunei), plus the International

semi-final and final rounds to be held in the United States of America.

4 International Grand Prize : These are 24 winners will be selected,

Out of these, a grand prize will be chosen.

A trip to USA with two family members where you will receive a cash award of USD2,500 (or local equivalent) and an Engraved commemorative plaque.

2nd RCC Meeting & Leadership Seminar

Regarding the above matter, our club have been invited to attend the 2nd RCC Meeting and Leadership seminar of the Fiscal Year 2010/2011, which is organized by the Leo Club of SMK USJ 8.

*Overall payment on 14th November MUST correspond to the number of attendees confirmed by 7th of November 2010. No changes shall be made if there are any Leos to be absent on the 14th of November 2010.

As for the purpose of going green, all Leos are advised to bring their own bottle of water and Tupperware on that very day for lunch as we are trying to help reducing the usage of plastics or paper cups and plates. Cups and plates will not be provided during the lunch break.
